What is ABA Therapy?
In ABA therapy, behavior analysts use principles of learning and behavior to address social, communication, and adaptive living skills. ABA interventions are often individualized to meet each person's specific needs and can cover a wide range of skills, including language development and daily living skills.
ABA is evidence-based and has been recognized as one of the most effective interventions to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), acquire new skills. ABA therapy involves systematic observation, measurement of behavior, and the application of interventions based on behavioral principles. The systematic and individualized nature of ABA, combined with a focus on generalization and positive reinforcement, contributes to children acquiring and maintaining essential life skills that extend well into their future.
ABA addresses challenging behaviors by systematically identifying the function or purpose of these behaviors and implementing interventions to reduce or replace them with more adaptive alternatives. The skills learned during therapy must generalize across different settings, people, and situations to sustain positive behaviors over time.
Our Process
Play is a crucial part of a child's overall healthy development! Natural Environment Teaching (NET), is a method of instruction and teaching that centers on embedding teaching opportunities in the context of a child's everyday activities in their environment. NET is a dynamic teaching approach to ensuring that a child is an engaged, active participant in their learning.
What's truly wonderful about using NET is that learning within the natural environment makes activities more intrinsically reinforcing, tapping into the child's inherent interests and motivation, and making the learning process more enjoyable for the child!
In-Home ABA Therapy
In-home ABA therapy is a flexible and individualized approach that leverages the natural environment, typically a child's home environment, to promote skill development, positive behavior change, and generalization of skills in the context of the child's daily life.

School & Daycare Consultation
Outside of providing ABA services to your child in their home setting, we can also provide the support that your child needs in additional settings such as school and daycare support. In these settings, we can collaborate with teachers, aides, and other staff in the school or daycare to ensure that intervention strategies are consistent across settings.
This collaboration fosters a supportive environment for your child's learning and development. By addressing a range of skills, ABA therapy contributes to your child's success and integration into school or daycare settings, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Collaboration between ABA therapists, educators, and caregivers is key to maximizing the benefits across different contexts.
Caregiver Collaboration
Parents and caregivers play a key role in reinforcing and practicing learned skills outside of therapy sessions. Consistent involvement helps generalize newly acquired behaviors to various settings, promoting real-world application. Our ABA therapists work closely with parents to ensure that the skills targeted in therapy generalize to the home and community environments.
Caregiver participation is essential, as it helps bridge the gap between the therapeutic setting and the child's everyday life. We value this participation, as it fosters a positive and collaborative relationship between the ABA therapy team and the family. This partnership is essential for open communication, trust, and shared decision-making. We will work with you to make necessary adjustments to the intervention plan to ensure that your child's therapy plan remains aligned with the child's evolving needs!
